Have you ever thought about your life as it transitions through different seasons? As trees prepare to bud new life after losing their leaves months later? Life throws us winter moments and we must learn how to ask ourselves “what can I learn from this unfavorable situation?” The most important thing is to know how to embrace the seasons because each one is truly different.
I read a book once called “Don’t Die in Winter” and I tell you it put a new spin on how I view the seasons that come into my life. Sometimes I ask myself why does it seem as though everything has stopped in my life and in other times, I say Lord, life is good, thank you. It could be a huge possibility that winter has approached my doorstep with its cold and brutal force. It is just that you are going through a season in your life that you may not have experienced before? Life is funny and there are no guarantees. If we learn to accept the growing pains in our lives, then we will be able to embrace the bad with the good and not become bitter from it.
If God is God on the mountain top, then rest assured He will be God in the valley. What I like about God, He has a plan and He is faithful. The promise is that you will never be left alone in times of uncertainty. As a result, you will be able to look back on the situation that turned sour in your life and you are able to give God thanks in spite of what has happened or is happening. Remember you are stronger than you think. When life throws you lemons, make lemonade and don’t allow life to warp your perspective just because the circumstances say otherwise. One thing for sure is if you are going through a winter season in your life, you can believe that Spring is right around the corner. Keep your eyes on His promises and not on the process. Declare and decree that your situation is already getting better.
